Hill Werth is an internationally recognized trans artist, activist, educator, and former athlete. Originally from the United States, Hill now lives and resides in Canada.
Hill creates intuitive, layered works that transform personal experiences into bold visual statements exploring visibility, identity, representation, and social change.
Using a wide range of mediums, Hill’s creations emerge from deeply personal emotions and experiences, forming patterned layers of balance and composition that reflect both vulnerability and resilience. Through both their art and teaching practice, Hill uses their voice to foster cultural awareness, connection, and inclusion while empowering the next generation of artists and change makers.
In 2024, Hill received the Kingston Mayor’s Arts Award for impactful contributions to the community, as well as the King Charles III Coronation Medal for significant contributions to Canada through art, education, and community engagement. Hill’s journey and artistic impact are also featured in Spray the Change, a documentary film by Juan Velasco that highlights Hill’s powerful role in shaping cultural awareness through art.
